Mind Care

Why Mind Care

Different mind care and relaxation techniques can help alleviate anxiety and stress and improve your mood.

Mind care can also offer physical benefits, such as lowering blood pressure and boosting the immune system according to Harvard Health Publishing.

You can enhance cognitive abilities to focus and retain new information by strengthening the cerebral cortex and boosting your parasympathetic nervous system through relaxation techniques

On average, we breathe about 17,000 times a day. Breathing is one of the most effective relaxation tools you can practice anytime and anywhere. Here, we introduce some foundational techniques.

Meditation is an exercise designed to bring mental clarity and emotional calm through focused attention and awareness. It often involves concentrating on specific images, thoughts, words, objects, or activities. Mindful meditation, in particular, helps slow down negative thoughts and uplift your mood by keeping you fully present.

Yoga originated in ancient India and is now widely practiced around the world. It encompasses a range of physical, mental, and spiritual disciplines. Extensive research has documented the numerous benefits of yoga.

Exercise, a healthy diet, daily routines, and engaging in meaningful activities are also important aspects of mental health care.

Journaling

Reflective, introspective and intentional
journal writing allows you to analyze your feelings, thoughts and behavioral patterns.

You can practice self-counseling without formal training or accredited courses. For many, this can be a practical and convenient method, as long as your mental state does not interfere with your daily routines. Dr. Jay Earley, the founder of Self-Therapy Journey, has developed effective self-counseling techniques, particularly his work on ‘Inner Critics’ which is widely used for this purpose.
